  • Valenttina Griffin

    CO-FOUNDER

    Valenttina is a serial entrepreneur, and experienced Senior Data & Senior IT specialist with a demonstrated history of working in the food processing industry. In her previous role, she built and led Marel’s global master data management department. She has additional experience in the financial industries, leading and building the data management department at Arion Banki. Valenttina is skilled in resource management and leadership, vision and strategy implementations, continuous improvements, IT consultancy, presentation, coaching and public engagement. She is a strong continuous improvement professional having worked in 7 countries both in Europe and North America. She is a very proud co-founder of WomenTechIceland and strongly believes in providing women with a much needed platform to help achieve positive changes in equality, inclusion and diversity. Valenttina holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and has a commercial pilot license.

  • Paula Gould

    CO-FOUNDER

    Paula is a go-to-market and growth strategy consultant, speaker and executive. She founded Float and gather ehf. in 2019 to create strategies for business growth, partnering with brilliant innovation companies internationally. Paula previously served as Head of Brand & Communications at Men&Mice (acqu. by DDI leader Blue Cat), CMO at Greenqloud (acqu. by IT infrastructure leader NetApp), was a Board Member at CLARA (acqu. by Jive Software) and Principal at Icelandic VC firm Frumtak Ventures. She has extensive experience working with growth stage companies from the US and Europe, and has held additional C-level, interim C-level and advisory roles throughout her career.

    Paula is the former Vice-Chair of the Fulbright Commission of Iceland and former board member of EmpowHer Institute in Los Angeles, California. Paula was also the Nordic Women in Tech Awards 2022 Women in Tech Advocate of the Year In Iceland. She has appeared in Forbes and various other media for her work and expertise.

  • Alondra Silva Muñoz

    Chair of the Board

    Alondra is a multilingual marketing leader with 12 years of experience and a successful international business career across five continents, growing companies in international markets. She previously served as Director of Marketing at Kaptio, an Icelandic-founded technology company and the leading Salesforce partner for premium multi-day travel. Since relocating to Iceland, Alondra has been on the boards of several non-profits organizations such as AFS Intercultural Programs from 2018 to 2022, Solaris samtök fyrir hælisleitendur og flóttafólk á Íslandi from 2021 to present, and is an alternate member of íbúaráðs Breiðholts, focusing on Human Rights and democracy. Alondra is a strong advocate for the rights of foreign women and women of color in Iceland, as has become a prominent voice for these communities. She joined WomenTechIceland’s Board of Directors in January 2023.

  • Ólöf Kristjánsdóttir

    Board Member

    Ólöf Kristjánsdóttir is the Head of marketing at Wise, one of Iceland's leading IT companies. Previously, she was the Director of Growth Marketing at Tempo. She is an accomplished marketer with 13+ years in B2B and SaaS marketing. Her expertise spans a variety of marketing functions including digital marketing, demand and lead generation, branding, field marketing and content management. She is an experienced leader and trained in agile leadership. In her role she has managed many large projects. For example, she has overseen complete website overhauls and complex event programs. She joined WomenTechIceland in 2022, joining the Board of Directors in January 2023, with the goal of being able to impact the diversity and inclusion of the Icelandic tech industry. Ólöf has a degree in business administration and a masters in international relations.

  • Randi Stebbins

    Board Member

    Creating a space for immigrant voices in Icelandic society has been Randi Stebbins’ focus since moving to Iceland in 2014. She co-founded Ós Pressan and was the president for the first three years. In her work at the University of Iceland, she started the first program targeted at supporting first and second generation immigrant students with their writing. She was also on the advisory board of Sprettur, the University of Iceland's flagship program to support promising adolescents with their educational goals. Randi is one of the original members of the research group IWEV, which investigates women of foreign origin's experiences of violence in Icelandic society. Now that she has moved into tech, Randi joined the Board of Directors of WomenTechIceland in January 2023. Currently, Randi is the Lead Technical Writer at AGR.

  • Þóra Óskarsdóttir

    Board Member

    Thora is the Director of Fab Lab Reykjavík. With a special interest in rapid prototyping to understand creative ideas, she has applied her knowledge to develop a bulk of educational materials for innovation education. She develops learning materials by incorporating procedural instructions, principles, and examples to enhance creative actions of learners.

    Her projects centre on getting young people to „create the change“ they want to see in the world. She is the main author on one peer reviewed article, exploring how task constraints affect incubation during creative problem solving, via a cognitive experiment. She is the co-founder and creator of MEMA, an innovation accelerator for college students that compete by prototyping a solution that supports the sustainable development goals. Thora joins the Board of Directors for WomenTechIceland in January 2023.

    Thora Oskarsdottir holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree in psychology and the teaching of psychology from the University of Iceland. Her research interests include creative cognition, learning, transfer, and skill acquisition for innovation. Her final thesis and later peer reviewed article „Let them wonder“, explored how task constraints affect incubation during creative problem solving, via a cognitive experiment.

  • Ingibjörg Lilja "Ingsa" Þórmundsdóttir

    Board Member 2023

    Ingsa Þórmundsdóttir served on WomenTechIceland’s board through 2023. She is a very passionate geek and a humanist whose mission is to empower people, teams and organizations to become stronger, faster and more successful in a sustainable way. She is currently Chief Human Resources Officer at Helix Health, a subsidiary of Origo. Ingsa removes obstacles and complexity with clear and very SIMPLE processes to create context and culture for people to learn and grow. She has broad experience working with leadership within tech, both here in Iceland and for international companies.

    Prior to joining Origo, Ingsa was co-founder and CEO of Orgz, an organizational and leadership coaching company. She is also Director of the Board at Rafal. Previously, she has served as Head of Human Resources at Rafal, Head of People and Strategy at Taktikal, and several roles at Spotify including Learning & Development Specialist, Generalist in Tech, Product and Design Operations, and the Executive Assistant to the Chief Product Officer.

    Ingsa is a prolific public speaker, having appeared on stage at many conferences including UTmessan 2020, SVEF conference 2022, Samorkuþing 2022 and UTmessan in 2023. She has held several lectures in Akademias, around agility, leadership and culture. She has degrees in Marketing Management from International Business Academia and Business Administration from Viðskiptaháskólinn á Bifröst. Ingsa is a ICAgile Certified Professional in Leading with Agility and Agility in HR.
